{Couples Photography} Jasmine and Rob - I was lucky enough to shoot their wedding out in Sylvan Lake a year ago. To commemorate their one year together, Jasmine stylized a 40's themed shoot. We headed out to Queens Diner (with permission) which was the perfect vintage backdrop. Rob rocked his fedora and suspenders while the beautiful Jasmine was sleek in her fur coat, pumps and pencil skirt. I love the red red lips and long lashes, a timeless classic. (psst... Jasmine is a makeup artist as well!) xo Stephanie

{Couples Photography} Aaron and Megan - Megan and I planned this shoot for a while. I even painted the chairs and table for their sweetheart table and have the paint on the garage floor to prove it! (My husband was very forgiving). I went out to Aaron's parents farm - a place where most summer evenings Megan and Aaron can be found. We took advantage of the soft summer light. I love the romance and softness that was in this shoot. For two people who "are awkward" (Megan's words - not my own), they faired pretty well. I would even go as far as saying they were naturals. We finished off the shoot with some 1-1 female portrait session while Aaron worked on the farm. Thanks Aaron and Megan for the fabulous morning. Xo Stephanie

{Newborn Family Photography} Danielle, Dan and Baby Lucas - Danielle is my step-sister, which I guess makes Dan my Step-brother in-law? Danielle and Dan welcomed Lucas into the world a week prior and judging by their love for their newest addition - they couldn't be happier. When Danielle asked about a Newborn session I informed Danielle that I don't do the posed newborn style photography that is very popular right now however, I would love to do a family session to celebrate the newest addition.
Since Lucas was so good and the August summer sunlight was perfect, we went outside following some cuddles inside the happy families home. Xo Stephanie

{Lifestyle Photography - Female Portrait Session} Molly, Class of 2013 - I was contacted by Molly's mother a few weeks before graduation. She was looking to spoil her little girl and had very special requests. We brainstormed locations, times and themes for quite a while. We ended up shooting at Molly's home and a high end makeup store. (Very fitting considering Molly is contemplating heading to Vancouver to become a Makeup artist). When I showed up, Molly was stunning but sick. Very sick. Poor girl. She put on a brave face and smiled, posed and put up with my various requests but you could tell she would have rather been in bed resting up for her Graduation Ceremony a few days later. Luckily, none of that suffering was caught on camera. I wish I looked that good sick.
Congratulations Molly. Best of luck in your future endeavours. Please contact me if you ever want to work together when your a makeup artist. I would love to work with you again. Xo Stephanie

{Wedding Photography} Trevor and Angela - Trevor and Angela were clear about what they wanted for their wedding photos - to capture tender moments between the two of them. It certainly makes my job easier when the bride and groom naturally touch and kiss without being in front of the camera.
The day started out at Angela's parents home. What a full house! It seemed her whole family was there prior to celebrate and get a first glimpse at the blushing bride. Angela made the way down the staircase (tears and all) to her waiting papa who was blindfolded. I do not think there was a dry eye during the unveiling. The ceremony was at Crossroads Church. Trevor spent sometime with his boys before eagerly awaiting his brides arrival. Complete with a blessing read in spanish by Angela's mother, the ceremony was lovely. Off to Trevor's family farm following for the photographs. It was cold, windy and just a slight dusting of snow - typical Alberta. The wedding party were troopers and very helpful. Trevor being the concerned new husband cuddled Angela in-between photos (how sweet!).
Angela and Trevor thank you for allowing me to be apart of your special day. Xo Stephanie

{Lifestyle - Female Portrait Session} Amy - I was contacted by Amy's boyfriends Grandmother to shoot Amy as a gift to her grandson. (Thats a mouthful isn't it?). Amy came to Red Deer with perfect make-up, perfect skin and eyelashes to drool over. She was such a nice girl and didn't complain that Alberta's weather was temperamental and I was making her sit on the cold ground. Amy if you ever convince your boyfriend to do a couples session, please contact me! I would love to work with you again! Xo Stephanie

{Lifestyle - Senior Session} Trey, Drew and Ben - First off, Congratulations Guys! Class of 2013! What an exciting time for everyone and I wish you nothing but the best in your future pursuits - whatever they may be. Secondly, I had a lot of fun shooting you guys.
Juanita (Drew's Mother) contacted me wanting Grad photos. We did the formals (you know, the cap and gown type that Grandma will have on her wall) and then the portrait sessions. Have I mentioned how much I love shooting Portraits? We did something a bit different and went downtown to an area lacking some TLC. The boys showed me some dance moves (Juanita save those photos for their weddings!) before getting serious. Thank you for the afternoon boys! XO, Stephanie
